I Can Tell You Now

I CAN TELL YOU NOW

This is an attention getting-statement of what i think about video games and how it ‘apparently’ causes violence.

The majority of adults disagree on young people playing violent shooter games, why? I do not know maybe is how the media portrays the few young people who’ve had possession of a firearm and has gone to their local or old elementary school and has killed students and teachers. The media always has to include video games to the shooter as if they are connected but if we look more into depth with past few killings the shooter normally had a bad upbringing or has family or other problems that has affected them. MADISON TOWNSHIP —A 14-year-old student charged in a shooting at a Butler County Jr/Sr high school that left four students injured was in court Tuesday.’ I read through this article in depth and found out that the shooter’s parents did not like him at all and always neglected him from a young age, this might not be the exact cause or trigger that set him off to do such horrifying action but it is a better cause or motive than him playing 18R rated games. There have been numerous occasions and as i’ve said they have all had problems to cause them to do that, it’s not video games.

I can speak for all gamers when i say video games do not influence violence as i have been playing violent video games all my life and not once did i feel the need to hurt or kill anyone and if i would’ve i think it’ll be because of something or a cause not a because i played a violent video game and felt the need to go and hurt someone or kill.  ‘Survey: 75% Of Parents Think Violent Video Games Contribute To Actual Violence‘ Adult’s may complain about kids being violent but if that is the case then they are in the wrong as they have contributed to that by buying them the game, as you cannot purchase a game whilst being under 18 if the game is ‘R RATED’ and all the violent video games are r rated. I researched and found an adult that before did play a lot of violent video games and turned out fine like the majority of people, here is what he has to say.

“I played violent games as a kid and turned out fine”

I did too, and I think that (almost) everyone here has. The problem isn’t that, it’s that parents will blame violent video games for violent tendencies, but at the same time are still buying their children the games they’re crucifying and their opinions are considered valid by a majority of their peers.

What i know is that the accusations are false, and that they should bring facts not theories of what they think because without hard evidence you cannot prove anything and it’s only a group that think that violent games causes violence but if we bring everyone, 95% of the population does NOT believe that violent games causes violence.

Bare Vexed

Isabelle Kerr published an article about young ‘youths’ using ‘slang ‘ these days and pointing out the finger to the young generation saying that  ‘as a member of the young generation, partly responsible for these linguistic calamities, I can only apologies. I am embarrassed and ashamed.’  Isabelle clearly does not agree with the words the young generation uses (slang). At one point Isabelle used William Shakespeare, saying that he would be ashamed with today’s society, but that does not add up as William Shakespeare invented and brought slang to this world, without him there would be no ‘Slang’ or words that we now DO NOT consider as slang such as ‘Assassination’.

Assassination would be a superb example to use because not as much people would think that assassination was a slang word made by William Shakespere but as it became more common to use, it eventually evolved and not considered as slang as it just felt and sounded like a normal word, and that’s the beauty of slang it evolves the worlds imagination and let’s them evolve and express themselves in a better and more efficient way, so in my opinion Isabelle Kerr article is already false as she brought William Shakespeare in to this obviously not aware that he himself made slang.

One point to make clear, she is apologising for her young generation for using slang, but doesn’t she use slang herself and isn’t she ‘part of the young generation’ here she uses  “reality check” which in itself is an idiom first used in use in 1960 and its meaning is  “a wake-up call”. Idioms such as reality check started themselves as slang and have now made their way into the common English language like ‘Assassination’ and why? Because people opened their minds and expressed themselves in way that was independent and unique. Isabelle Kerr had various mistakes another one would be her getting slang mixed up with shortening words like “seriously” to “Srsly”. What i highly doubt is that Isabelle Kerr understands, the difference of it or understands the whole concept of slang and how it can have an impact on everyone’s everday’s life.

My final conclusion for Isabelle Kerr is to look into slang in more depth and understand why it is used and that not just the young generation such as herself uses it because without it most words we use in our everday life would not exist and who knows how that would turn out, be thankful for what we the younger generation are offering to this World because we could and will have a big impact in the future and once we are older the same will go to kut young generation they are in charge of what they want to change. My final verdict for this is long live the young generations freedom to express themselves and also for anyone freedom for what they want.

How do the studied poets and Shakespeare use literary techniques to show how people respond to forces in the world over which they have no control?

How do the studied poets and Shakespeare use literary techniques to show how people respond to forces in the world over which they have no control?

For this assignment i will be figuring out and going into detail with the term fate, also the contents of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, On First Son’ by Ben Johnson Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night’ by Dylan Thomas, also identifying literary techniques used in going against fate, as well as the characters in the poem trying to avoid or taking fate.
In the very first two poem by Johnson and Thomas fate is presented as an accursed curse where the loved ones were stolen from them, written by the author. Hamlet also asked us to think about fate and consider whether it is better to be alive or dead or is it more dignified to put up with all the horrifying things that fate gives you without any option/consent?
Mixed emotions were deeply felt as all three speakers have lost someone close to them but one emotion that strongly stands out is anger. This is particularly shown inthe  two poems. Dylan Thomas ‘Do not go gentle into that good night’ as similar to On My First Sonne: in the first poem a young boy was not able to let the elderly man (his father) go: he said ‘do not go gentle into that good night’ meaning don’t die without a fight, fight for your survival, fight against your destiny.  Hamlet can be seen as fairly similar but with a different type of emotion which is rage. Hamlet sought revenge for his fathers death but it is  not like the other deaths – this was a murder and his father was killed.
In ‘Do Not Go Gentle In That Good Night’ Dylan Thomas is telling the reader that no one should die without putting up with a fight, he talks particularly about role models as they are meeting there death; old men, wise men, wild men, grave men. They are all particularly at there old age and are confront ted by fact ‘death’, He picture his dad as a role model a ‘god’ that he looks up to and now he is being confronted by fate he is telling everyone to not go out without a fight. His dad ison a ‘sad’ hieght above him. hecan curse dylan thomas and blless himn and he is ‘fierce’ evgen tohugh he is a god to dylan thomas the ooem asks him to resist death and to not die. the poet wants his dad to usehis ‘immortals god like powers’ but tragically hes dead and heecant stop that it is fate. Anger is represented here in an sad way because the poet asks us to resist death but at the same time he knows that even a god will die ‘thomas is writing in 1947 just after the secound world war where most of the popuklation started doubting god and relgion has stopped being somthing they will rely on to console…

Night and Day ( Now and Then)

Walking out my door, eager to wake up and enjoy an amazing day. Sprinting down the stairs like a cheater to purchase the freshly made bread ready to be devoured like a pack of hyenas would do, whilst walking out excited to have purchased my breakfast I feel the light shining on the surface of my face, I observe how amazing the day is with kids around screaming, shouting and running as if there life depended on it, events happening, a wide range of ages, ethnicity, shape and sizes participating, engaging and speaking to one another despite of their differences. It truly is a good start to the day entering my flat, ready to prepare myself a mouth-watering, astonishing breakfast accompanied with a nice lay in next to the television. As time passes more people leave, events close, kids are not heard any more, swiftly darkness starts to evolve, immediately everything changes, it’s like… you are not in the same place, it’s like you are in a whole different area from the once we all see in the morning.

A place so peaceful, bright and shiny filled with people, it’s truly a place you’ll love to live in, wake up to birds singing, when you step outside instantly people waving, smiling at you and everyone. But I just don’t get it, how can a place so calm, relaxing and safe change dramatically in the DARK? Everything changes, instantly i hear dogs squealing, people arguing, shouting, sirens all over my estate i also see outside my window a groups of youths with bats and metal bars, angry bloodthirsty dogs tearing one another apart like wild animals.. it truly is horrific to see, this is why i hardly go out at night, i don’t mention it as i try to forget it, i decided to leave my flat to go to the shop to buy myself a nice cold beverage as i was parched, my action was very different even though i had the same desire to buy something absolutely amazing but took a different approach, I did not run down stairs i actually walked slowly quietly and carefully like a turtle, i took the lift instead of the stairs the lift smelt horrific it smelled of urine walked out my flat to see police cars abandoned with the bright blue light shining all upon my face, little kids screaming but not the scream of joy I instantly took of to the shop purchased my drink and quickly exited the shop to be safe and sound in my warm flat, same process occurred as i made my way up back into my house, police everywhere group of youths staring me down as if it was a ‘don’t blink game’ homeless people going crazy from taking drugs outside my flat block, the lift vandalised and filled with urine, this was not time thing though this happens every night, well i get this is just another day in the blocks or flats of the government where they forget about all of us  but only one thing stayed the same my house was the only nice and relaxing place that always stayed the same.

Act 3 Scene 1&2

                                                         Act III, scene i
Summary

Claudius and Gertrude discuss Hamlet’s behavior with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, who say they have been unable to learn the cause of his melancholy. They tell the king and queen about Hamlet’s enthusiasm for the players. Encouraged, Gertrude and Claudius agree that they will see the play that evening. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern leave, and Claudius orders Gertrude to leave as well, saying that he and Polonius intend to spy on Hamlet’s confrontation with Ophelia. Gertrude exits, and Polonius directs Ophelia to walk around the lobby. Polonius hears Hamlet coming, and he and the king hide.

                  act 3 scene ii

That evening, in the castle hall now doubling as a theater, Hamlet anxiously lectures the players on how to act the parts he has written for them. Polonius shuffles by with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and Hamlet dispatches them to hurry the players in their preparations. Horatio enters, and Hamlet, pleased to see him, praises him heartily, expressing his affection for and high opinion of Horatio’s mind and manner, especially Horatio’s qualities of self-control and reserve. Having told Horatio what he learned from the ghost—that Claudius murdered his father—he now asks him to watch Claudius carefully during the play so that they might compare their impressions of his behavior afterward. Horatio agrees, saying that if Claudius shows any signs of guilt, he will detect them.

Summery Hamlet Act 2 Scene 2

Act II, scene ii
Summary
Within the castle, Claudius and Gertrude welcome Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two of Hamlet’s friends. Increasingly concerned about Hamlet’s erratic behavior and his apparent inability to recover from his father’s death, the king and queen have summoned his friends to Elsinore in the hope that they might be able to cheer Hamlet out of his melancholy, or at least discover the cause of it. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern agree to investigate, and the queen orders attendants to take them to her.

Summery

Act 1-2 scence
The summery of hamlet is basically in London in the past as there were strict rules about your freedom and how you can use that as gay people were a no, no as well as women weren’t allowed to participate in the plays, people used to go to Southwark, Southwark is place where people will go there to have a good time there were prostitution, acts that weren’t allowed in the posh and modern area of London.

Ghost..
The ghost of Hamlet’s late father is a character from William Shakespeare play Hamlet, also known as The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark. In the stage directions he is referred to as “Ghost.” His name is also Hamlet, and he is referred to as King Hamlet to distinguish him from the Prince.

Scout’s Aunt Alexandra is very proud of her family heritage. Simon Finch was one of the earliest settlers in the area, and Alexandra is proud of several other past family members. She always said “What Is Best for the Family” and “Fine Folks,” but she Speaks badly  on the negative side of people in most of her conversations. In Alexandra’s mind, the Finches ranked at the top of the table and few other families could compare. She directs Atticus to explain to his children about the family’s generations.

The Cunninghams, however, were run-of-the-mill people, they’re good folks. But they’re not our kind of folks upper classes people referd them as

The Cunninghams were poor and had very little to eat everyday, Scout was curious about why her aunt and upper classed people specifically disliked the Cunninghams, and Alexandra(the aunt) angrily came to the point.

this is the quote of what she said

“I’ll tell you why,” she said”Because they are trash, that’s why you can’t play ith then. I’ll not have you around them, picking up his habits and learning Lord-knows-what.”

They all don’t like the to be finished!!!

Tom Robison (is he like a mocking bird)

Miss Maudie says Mockingbirds dont do one thing but make music for us to enjoy. They dont eat up people’s garderns, dont nest in corncribs, they dont do one thing but sing their hearts out for us, Tom Robinson is a mockingbird. He helps Mayella to do her chores out of the goodness and of his heart, which people like the Ewells exploit and resulted in his death. Even when Mayella lies to the court and accuses him, he does not get angry but but instead say she’s mistaken in her mind

Is humanity responsible for the complex ecosystem (Not Finished)

Is humanity responsible for the destruction of complex ecosystem?

In my opinion humanity are responsible for the destruction of the complex ecosystem as they destroy natural habitat and trees chopping lots of for paper every single day here is another example how humanity are destroying natural environments.

Humanity are responsible for the mayhem in Guam, Guam is a Pacific Ocean. It’s was used by American troops during and after the second world war it was then that the ‘Brown Tree snakes over took Guam, they literally tagged along on their rack sack then they eventually reproduced in numbers as well as in size.

They rapidly increased in number and more and more were hunting for food to survive not to mention they had so much hunting techniques venomous, razor sharp teeth to penetrate through any living creature, mostly their prey were birds, birds in that island a remarkable but are vital to Guam as they pollenate them and carry there seeds which lets them grow and produce more trees.

But like as said those snake are hunting for food and those birds are on their number one list so no birds as they are being eaten every single day which means who is going to pollinate the trees to make them grow or live?
